BOOST: Building Sustainable Growth for High-Potential Companies
BOOST supports high-potential Victoria-based scaling companies to grow faster by providing funding for specific projects and expertise to work in the business for up to a 2-year period.
BOOST represents one of the most significant opportunities VIATEC has had to directly impact the growth of Victoria’s most promising tech companies. This is not just about offering another accelerator program — it’s about providing highly customized, hands-on support to scale-ups that have the potential to drive job creation, revenue growth, and economic expansion.
BOOST is not just about funding — it’s about delivering meaningful, hands-on support that propels companies toward sustained growth. We are ensuring that each participant receives deep, targeted mentorship and direct access to subject matter experts and investors.
Our structured approach will include quarterly progress evaluations, personalized growth plans, and curated opportunities to expand into new markets. We will track real outcomes, from revenue increases to job creation, ensuring that BOOST is not only a successful initiative on paper but a transformational experience for its participants.
BOOST is structured around several key pillars:

Targeted Business Advisory Services: BOOST companies will receive tailored support over the course of their projects. This can include deep-dive fractional and embedded executives, strategy sessions, mentorship from experienced executives, and specialized coaching to tackle their unique business challenges.

Growth & Investment Focus: The goal is to help participating companies increase their revenues by $75M collectively and attract at least $50M in private-sector investment by the time BOOST concludes. To achieve this, we will facilitate direct introductions to investors, host investor summits, and provide investment-readiness training to help founders successfully pitch for funding.

Market Expansion Support: Victoria-based companies need support in expanding beyond the local market. BOOST will provide export readiness support and connections to international markets, with a goal of generating $20M in new export sales.

Talent Development & Job Creation: Over the next two years, BOOST aims to create 250 new high-quality jobs, with an emphasis on diversity, including opportunities for women, Indigenous workers, and youth in the tech sector. Participating companies will receive support in hiring, retention strategies, and workforce development.

A Tailored Approach: Unlike traditional accelerators, BOOST is designed as a project-based opportunity, with at least 2 calls for proposals each year. This allows us to provide more personalized, long-term support rather than a one-size-fits-all curriculum.

Annual Investor Summit: In October 2025, VIATEC will host an Investor Summit as part of BOOST, showcasing the top-performing companies to a curated group of investors, funders, and ecosystem partners. This event will be a major milestone for participating companies, helping them to secure funding and partnerships that fuel their next stage of growth.

Ongoing Measurement & Reporting: Success will be rigorously tracked, with each company undergoing quarterly progress evaluations to measure growth in revenues, investment secured, job creation, and market expansion. These reports will not only ensure accountability but also help us continuously refine BOOST to maximize its impact.
